Welcome to a new episode of the Demon Babie Podcast. It's me, Joey Lombardo, sitting here with blond babie black style. What? You know, we try to keep this podcast really down to earth, so a lot of people can relate to it. So we're going to do a very nice down to earth episode. About the most ridiculous event there is on the world, the Met Gala 2025. Super fine black style. Beautiful, beautiful I love it. Yeah, I think us, you know, me and you sitting here has. Two white. People, two whites, classic whites. Yeah, you know. White as fuck. As white as it comes. Yeah. Blonds, blond, white people. Blue eyed. We're here to give our opinion on black culture and black fashion and black people. And it's really time for us to have our opinion said in the world, you know, so let's we're not going to sit down for this one. We're gonna stand up. And we're going to give our opinion. On Black Style. Super Fine. Welcome to the episode. Well, I love your outfit for the, Met Gala episode. Thank you for styling me. I really appreciate it. Who's your stylist? Demon of Hollywood is my stylist. I highly recommend him. He really put in the thought and care into making sure I looked tailored as fuck. And what are you wearing? I am wearing a vintage zoot suit from the 70s, courtesy of his grandfather. It’s a leisure suit. It's not a zoot suit. Sorry you didn't study at all. Leisure suits. Not my. You need more practice. I do rehearsal did not go well. And then I'm wearing your tie and your white button up, I believe, from Zara. I don't know where the ties from. I'm wearing my own Agolde jeans and peep toe, not peep toe. I should have practiced at rehearsal. You should have practiced that rehearsal. This one years. Kitten heels. Meow. Okay, so what do you pregame in that gala with. Tequila and fried chicken. Hold on, hold on. This is gonna make the comments go crazy because it's the first black person I actually had a reason. And you're throwing fried chicken, which is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. But it's if you've never pre-gamed with fried Chicken, we do every Friday. We get Jesse boy. Okay? We do get a lot of fried chicken. What do you. Mean? We get okay every Friday before we go out. Basically, we get fried chicken from the Korean fried chicken place. You lined it up a little suspicious. It's. It's really funny, though, but it would. It is the best pregame because you can have a little bit of protein. It's delicious. Little comforting. Little grease and, tequila, soda. Okay. And that is that's my usual Friday. And I would stick to it, except it's changing. So I'm not changing myself to fit the Met. No matter what the theme was. You were going to have fried chicken. Yeah. It's not just this one. No. Got it. Okay. What would you have for the pregame? Three shots. And to. Eat. Nothing. Nothing nothing. It's tailored. I got to look slim. Oh well I'm going to eat there. I feel like if I'm in a big tailored outfit, unless it's a corset I'm probably going to be kind of like this. I'm good to go. I can eat whatever I want. I'm comfortable. All right. But if it's like a slutty outfit, then I'm not eating okay for like three days through. Then I'm just shitfaced. Chambong. Chambong. Would you eat if you go into the Met Gala? Depends what I'm wearing. Again. Again? It's just all. It's all based on how I'm feeling and what I'm wearing. And no one touches their plates. Yeah. They're all in the bathroom powdering their noses. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So we watched it yesterday. Yep. Where were her sunglasses? I don't know, Anna Wintour. Yeah, her sunglasses were missing in action. I we should put them on a milk carton. At this point, I would like an explanation why her sunglasses were missing. I would do. There's got to be. I've never seen her without them before. No. Me either. It blew my mind. You know what it was really throwing me off to was her face. Yeah, her face. But she was doing a really good job of turning her face. So her bangs in her hair would cover her eyes. Like in her interview. Little hair. Flips. She would do this a lot to the point where you could like the light would obscure her face. She knows what she's doing. She does what I'm like just wear your glasses. What are you doing. Why are we not wearing them? It didn't make any sense. It didn't. And I know she wore off white, but I just thought the dress was too boring because it didn't even look well tailored to her. No, I thought I was fine. I thought it fit her body nice. I didn't. Like it. I would disagree with you. Well, I thought it was very nicely tailored to her and I thought was nice for her. She's also like 70. What do you want her to wear? Something. A little more edgy. It’s what she always. Well, if she's not going to wear her sunglasses and she's going to do something different, then she should fully switch it up. Not wearing the sunglasses was an edgy. Move for her. That dress was a dress she basically wears every day. She wears a knee length version. She dress nice everyday. Yes, she does, but it's the Met Gala wear something different. All right, next topic. What are you. The K-pop star. Jennie. Jennie For me. Jennie hit the mark. Perfectly balanced. Well. She looks like an assassin or a blackjack dealer. Who's going to take all your money or kill you. She felt Dandy. Yeah. It felt very dandy. I liked it a lot. So well tailored to her. So good. So, yeah, I really liked her. I felt like, She did best. I think she did really great. I also really liked, Doesn't matter. Name off my head. Well we're going to get into some outfits that are great. And worst dressed real quick. Hailey Bieber, worst dressed. I'll agree with you on that one. She wears that outfit everyday also. So boring, I hate it. Only thing good about that wear her pleaser heels and honestly nobody cares. Uninteresting true I'll agree. Hailey Bieber you blew it. Yeah. But you kind of always do a little bit. You're just not that exotic in the fashion which is fine. Everyone has. Their place. Everyone there's got to be somebody boring. But that shouldn't be her apparently. What do you think of a mid one runway change? I have two examples. Let's hear it. So the F1 driver. Yeah. Not not an actual one. The Idris guy who was in the F1 suit. And then I got stripped off and then he was in his proper suit. Was that a homage to Lewis Hamilton? It had to be a homage, Yeah. Okay then. And it in that case I like it. Some sort of mid change. I, I support that okay. But Emma Chamberlain did she did her first walk through in that outfit she really wanted to wear and then seem to wear a lower class version of it to do her interviews. And that is not something I support. I think she downgraded her outfit so she could be more comfortable during her interviews, but she did. That’s not the point. That's not the point of the Met Gala. No, you're. Not supposed to be comfortable at any point, and I. I disapprove If you are just wear the comfortable outfit then. That you can't change into a comfortable. Outfit. No, that's not allowed. No, not pre-party. I liked her hair. I like the new hair. The new hair is cool Is it like, is she inspired by me? Maybe we're not sure yet. Yes, you guys do have the same hair. She's kind of after me. Yeah, she have my Stee Okay, so we like Idris’s before and after? both? Yes. Did you like the F1 outfit? What if it was his only outfit? No, but since it changed into a very nicely tailored suit. I liked it a lot and. The suit was really cool. He could have just one in that suit. I've been really happy. I didn't like the f one thing until it got stripped off, which sounds perverted. It's not. Unless it is. Unless it is until it is perverted. We'll see. We'll see where this goes. No, but, I didn't like the f1 thing, until it was, like, a bit. And I'm like, for the bit, I love it. Yeah, great for the bit. Yeah. Agreed. So I want to talk about the Rosses Okay. Diana and her daughter. Okay. Diana showed her daughter how it's done. Diana one of the best dressed. Yeah her daughter I what's her name? Oh my God I always maybe if she dressed better we’d Remember I always forget her name. What the fuck is her name. She has pattern. Something something Ross. I don't like it. We'll put it right here. Yeah, she needs to get it together because I know she was wearing the Marc Jacobs oversize clothes. It was a whole thing on his last collection. I get that I don't like it for this. It didn't fit her body that well. It just looked dorky. I just want to say, imagine you in these shoes. You go to the Met Gala and your mother outperforms you in front of the entire world. Yeah, like so outlandishly above. Like you got just. Your mother put you in the grave. She mogged you. Yeah, yeah. Not, she mogged you. I mean, she did. Yeah. She looked incredible. Yeah. That dress was so cool, so well-tailored, so thoughtful. Had all of her kids names embroidered on it, I loved it. I didn’t even know that. Yeah, all the kid's names are her kids. And her grandkids went there. Two of her kids. Her son looked great, too. Her son look great. Yeah. Yeah, her son did look great. I don't know. No Evans her Son. Okay. Yeah. Evan. Ross, you look good. You know, if you dress well, we'll know your name. Yep. Yeah, we will learn your name if you dress well. Yeah, Idris almost got us. Idris did, but we looked it up. Next Topic. Okay. Zendaya’s outfit. So boring. There was another girl in the exact same outfit. I want. To say. What would you do if you, were the Ana Sawai? She was in the matching outfit and no one is talking about her. And she is in the exact same clothing. I will say Zendaya’s was tailored much better to her. And it did look better. Probably. Maybe because, Zendaya’s skinny as a stick. But how upset would you be. To be that woman. To be Anna Sawai in this moment? Yeah, I'd be devastated. Because people are saying Zendaya is one of the best dressed, which I don't agree with. It's so boring. If her hat was ten times the size 20, I would have been happy. 100. Make a moment. You are Zendaya Law Roach is your stylist. The tailoring in the suit is beautiful. The hats not enough, not enough. I would like the hat. Vertical, wide anyway. Bigger bigger bigger. Better. But we're going to give our opinions on black people because we're white people on a podcast and that's what they seem to do. It's crazy, it’s touchy. We're doing it. Here we are. All right. The best power couple in the world, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. I'm in love. They're the best. I think every guy, not even secretly, just wants to be A$AP Rocky. How could you not want to be? I want to be A$AP Rocky obviously cool. He has to be the coolest guy in the world that’s ever existed. I mean, you just feel it and you're like, damn. This guy gets. It. I don't have it like that. No he. You have to have that to pull Rihanna. Yeah, you don't get to just pull Rihanna unless you're that cool. Yeah. I mean, his style, his taste in art. Got great teeth. Use, a good teeth Teeth. I loved how he styled his hair is so sick because. I didn't like his hair. What? Outside of the theme. Why? in the theme. I liked it because it was for the theme. Yeah. Outside. I would know if you. If that was his daily hair, I'd be like, no, too much. You're missing. I like to. Either way, I didn't like it. Oh, what did you think of Rihanna and her third baby bump reveal? I liked it. Yeah, I was very cute. Yeah, I like how in love they are. Oh, yeah. Power couple. Best couple. Yeah. We strive to be more like them every day. Every day nailing. It. I wake up and think, how do I be more like Rihanna? And you better think, how do I be more like A$AP. Yeah. 100%. All right, next topic. Colman Domingo's outfit. Colman Oh, so you found the under suit. So I saw the. undersuit first. Give me an overview under suit. I'm going reverse. I saw the under suit first, and I was like, oh, Colman Domingo rocked it. that suits sick. I love the pant. I love the jacket. I love everything about it. But I don't love the Overthing. I know I get the homage of the color and everything that he said. Yeah, but. It just didn't fit right. If we're going super fine tailoring that's not tailored, that cape. The capes not. And the way that the metal pieces. It looks like. Plastic, it looks like plastic. It doesn't look I. Like Colman Domingo a lot. But it's couture literally. And it doesn't look couture. It looks plastic. It looks like I made that with a hot glue gun. It looks like, spirit halloween It does. Yeah, yeah, that's a shame. It is, because he's a insane guy. But that and his under suits. Great. No, no, I mean, that's the thing right under there. It's a great suit. Fabulous. You know, it's like me, like on the outside. I'm not. I look like Spirit Halloween, but I'm Heart of gold babe. Oh. Next topic Gigi Hadid’s outfit. Okay, so I love this, but not for the theme. It's well tailored technically, but this could be worn anywhere at any time and it would make sense for a red carpet. I think she should have lean more in the menswear. Yeah, it's a like you said, it's a dress she could have wore in any event, it's beautiful. Any red carpet, event, blue carpet, purple carpet, any carpet. She could wear that on any carpet. Yeah. But, yeah, I think it wasn't, the super fine men. tailoring. Yeah, yeah I agree. So yeah. Yeah. Beautiful as always. But not on theme. Not on theme. No. Still better than Bieber. Yeah, yeah, way better than Bieber. Next topic. Yep. Sydney Sweeney, another white woman. Oh, yeah. I didn't see the reference photo. I did want to see this. Okay. Given the reference photo, I like it even more. I thought it was really nicely tailored and beautiful, and it reminded me of like the 20s and 30s capes, which it clearly is supposed to be referencing. I think it's definitely referencing the right time period. Yeah, I agree, and I feel like she nailed. I think she respectfully did black style hair. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing because when. You watch you going into this, I was very touchy. I was very like, oh, who's going to be inappropriate today? Yeah. Who's going to really appropriate black culture? As you know, white women doing hair as us. How many laid edges are we going to see today. Yeah, but she only did the one curl. And I think it's really nice. I think it was nice. It was close call. Close call. But she. Looks a little extra tan on. On the camera on. The livestream I was like, she isn't naturally that tanned. She looks good in the photos. It doesn't look as crazy. Yeah, yeah. No, I think she really nailed it. Okay. It's really flattering for her body type to agree. Yeah, well, you have the body type. I saw people saying they didn't like that the shorts were checkerboard and the top was a monogram, but I like, I like that. I don't. Mind that. Especially with how well the colors match. A lot of people are saying the after party outfit was better and know people are mad that she wasn't wearing pants. She never wear pants. She never reveals this is her take on. I thought it was perfectly. It's her style for this event. Exactly. I thought it was so sick. In the running for best dressed. It was funny, I saw some people saying that it was a take on Playboy Bunny and I'm like, have you seen any of her tours? Maybe some of her tours to take on Playboy, but at the end of the day, she's made it her. I would say it's amazingly tailored to her. Yeah, this is so her. I love it and I like the after party outfit. After party outfits fun. I could wear that outfit. I like that Jenna Ortega switched into a Sabrina Carpenter outfit. The problem is, I have is Jenna Ortega and Sabrina Carpenter hanging out together. Because I think that's just too short of a group. Yeah, you guys are too small together. Yeah. You guys got to really get someone of height. Go get Kendall Jenner in the group. It's looking a little weird. Like you're just not letting any tall people hang out with you. So are. You're just jealous they wouldn't let you hang out with them. Well, you really scratched down to the real reason I'm talking about this. Yeah. Where people stars copy it all the time for their looks. Yeah, so. It's a driving force for trending culture. Exactly. Yeah. So anime would be mind anime. That's a good one. Yeah I was going to go the opposite direction and do more like the enlightenment period with like all the corsetry and stuff because that's come back so much into like women's fashion. And. Movies and movies and everything with all the period pieces and. Yeah, and the height of Bridgerton. Yeah, I'd probably do something like that. Yeah, I'd probably do that. I don't know what I would title it. I don't know either. I mean, I would do anime. Maybe I would do like a hyperfocus on like corsetry. There you go. Yeah.
